Waterwise Mediterranean

My clients wanted to get rid of the thirsty and not-so-attractive lawn in their front yard and the backyard was dominated by a pool and jacuzzi that they no longer used. Now, flagstone paths meander from the sidewalk and driveway and lead to a small patio with a beautiful aqua fountain. In the back, a circular patio and Mediterranean fountain anchor the plant beds that are filled with a copious collection of drought tolerant plants mixed in with edible fruit and vegetables. Despite its low water requirements, the garden is lush and colorful and has been transformed into a peaceful oasis in the middle of the busy city.
